I am sorry I have neglected you, I'm sorry I even forgot about you.... I promise from the very depths of my heart that I will never, ever forget you again...
So it has been some time since my last blog... I remember when I started this blog I was so sure I would stick at it and would journal something at least Everyday... Well that actually never happened. But I'll tell you what did happen; life.
Ah, life.
We have a beautiful baby girl, Eden Lily. She is adorable. She cracks us up constantly, she even cracks herself up. She says mum, dada, bub and I've even heard the occasional nana. She'll be 9 months old next week. 9 MONTHS! I can not even think about where that time has gone. The nine months she was in my tummy seemed to drag something terrible but as soon as she was in this world I can't seem to slow the time at all.... Speaking of Eden coming into the world, I would like to take this moment to say how proud I am of my body! I gave birth to an almost 9lbs baby with no.pain.medication.at.all! Nearly 48hours of contractions, labour, stopping, starting, home birth, hospital birth, midwives, doctors, pushing, pulling, suction cap thingys and then finally a baby! A woman's body is incredible and God made it to know exactly what to do and when to do it.
Our little Eden has a very fitting nick name; Edie-Poo.
And far out can she ever! I swear if there was a competition for the Biggest, Sloppiest, Stinkiest did I mention BIGGEST baby poo, she would win easy. She seems to go for a while and just do little little ones and then WHAM she hits us with the 'poo bat' as Ryan says. Normally it happens in the least desirable places, like Sunday mornings at church.
There have even been the car seat episodes. You know the ones where it's SO bad that you actually need to wash the car seat cover multiple times to remove the poo! Anyway enough about poo....
Eden has been a fantastic baby, sleeping through the night (and I mean 12 hours) from 9 weeks old. She took to feeding easily and was overall a very happy baby until.... teething...
I keep hearing about these teeth that are apparently making their way into the world.... Although I can't see or feel them. Hmmm.... are there really teeth in there? And teeth if you are listening stop making my happy perfect baby into a grumpy, sore grump :o(
Hopefully they will make a mass entry into the world and be all over and done with in the one go.
I think this may be enough for one entry. Stay tuned blog; I will be back xx.
